This 10th week of school has been pretty hectic, we didn't have school Tuesday then I went on a field trip on Wednesday with my Astronomy, which was pretty fun because we went to this planetarium that was in MSU campus and we learned about a bunch of constellations which was really interesting. And today we had a Vetern's Day assembly. So the few things that I have learned this week was how to create a big question and what has to be involved in it. I was thinking having my big question having something to do with expectations or peoples expectation of other because that has something to do with the book that I am read and it has much to do with the main character. There was probably something else that I have learned this week as well but I can't really seem to think of it because this week was pretty crazy and all.

Well this week ( the 9th week of school) we have finished our dig notes and essay's that were from the books we were assigned and the essay made me learn to dig deep into the character, to discover things in the book that kinda relate to my life and I did. We also have changed things a bit by picking a new book. I picked Kite Runner, reason being is because I feel like i would enjoy the book and what it stands for. It has something to do with Humanities and that is something that I am really into and the book maybe a challenge but I am determined to read it with my best abilities so i can learn and absorb so knowledge for nexts weeks blog.
What I have done this whole week is finish up the book i have been and have transitioned into writing workshop. And I have learned that my question that I have picked out contributes to the picture notes that I have took. I have learned how to organize them into slides. Also have learned this week is that this question has something to do with my life as well its for both me and the main character of the story. Everything that we do in this class gets me steps closer for what we all have to do for our senior projects and that's what you are preparing us for.
What I have learned for this week is that picture notes can be really handy. They are handy for me because they are easier to deal with, I don't have to pause and write some, it would just take a bunch of time from my reading if I did it that was to be honest. And each picture I take from a page has something to do with my power of story question, each of them relate to it. I also learned that I really enjoy the book i'm reading which is " The Alchemist". At 1st I wasn't really a big fan of it and was gonna trade the book in for something different. I started reading more of it and it has gotten really good and i've just been reading it pretty fast to, because i'm really into the book and i'm almost done with it, wish I wasn't though. I may read some of the authors other books as well because of how much I like the book.
Well this week is the last week of the 1st marking period. What i really enjoyed this week is the "I believe" videos they were all amazing and great because everyone made them there own way. And finishing up the creative writing as well because each of them was either something that I had an opinion on and I was passionate about or it was something about my life, something that I haven't really shared, but is willing to share because it's something that has mold me into the person that I am. That's what I have learned this week, actually this whole marking period, that it's ok to share certain pieces of your life, because our peers have been through things as well and that's how they became who they are.
My 5th week is similar to my 4th week as well.Have been working on my wevideo, but this time i have accomplished to finish my wevideo and it looks pretty great. I put a few cartoon snippet in my video, some great background music. At 1st I didn’t really enjoy the idea of the essay and the video because it made me uncomfortable, showing my peers apart of me that i don’t really enjoy talking about or sharing. When I looked at at my masterpiece that I have finished I realize how great it look and how of a great job my essay looked at well.
This week I've been kinda sick for the past 2 days and it's been difficult for me to finish my "I believe" paper. It's been really uncomfortable for me because I know exactly what to write, but i just don't want to put it on paper, I have to be vulnerable in order to write about it and then next week everyone would see a piece of me that they have never really seen and I just don't like that. The essay I love because it showing a part of who I really am and what it's made me become to this day, that's what I have learned about this week, going back to my roots, writing about the 1 thing that I am passionate about and expressing it the way I want to, not the other way around. It's weird because i've never done anything like this, write what I want to write, what I believe in, it's scary, but exhilarating at the same time. It's just the vulnerability that scares me at the end of the day.
What we had learned this past week is sort of the same exact thing that we learned last week, The Power of Story. We learned how to be ourselves in our writing expressing what comes to mine and how we really feel. It's kinda weird because in the English classes that I use to be in we didn't really do much creative writing or was really able to do things my way, be who i really want to be in the class. When it comes to sharing things or expressing my writing in front of the class it makes me feel unconfortable, but when we share like little portions of our stories it makes things a little less pressuring, it makes things better. By the time I finish this class I wanna better myself as both a reader and a writer and as a person.
What I have learn this past week in English 12A is that we are gonna do and learn a whole bunch of things, that I am gonna improve my writing skills and improve my read skills as well. That we are gonna be doing things that benefit us and that we are interested in for English 12A. I've learned lots from my teacher and my classmates as well, that we all have similarities when it comes to certain things with writing or reading and many differences as well to.
